It's June, and that means it's time to celebrate Pride Month! We are excited to commemorate the diversity and resilience of our LGBTQIA+ community. At the Sonoma County Library, we believe in the power of stories - stories that represent us, inspire us, and unite us. As part of our Pride Month celebration, we're showcasing a collection of works that amplify LGBTQIA+ voices and experiences.

Juneteenth has long been celebrated by Black communities across the U.S., and in 2021 President Biden proclaimed June 19th, Juneteenth, a national holiday.

Join Sonoma County Library's fourth annual Teen Film Festival! Are you an amateur filmmaker? Has TikTok or YouTube awakened your passion for cinema? All Sonoma County teens ages 12 to 19 are invited to compete. Take some time over summer break to shoot and edit your own 6-minute masterpiece. A jury will review all submitted entries and select films screened at the festival.

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month.

Calling all zine lovers! Santa Rosa Zine Fest is back for its fourth year! Sonoma County Library and the Santa Rosa Zine Collective are pleased to bring zines, creativity, art, and community together through this event (#SRZF2024).

Join us from April 17 to April 20.

Sonoma County Library will be closed on Friday, November 10th and Saturday, November 11th for Veterans Day; a national holiday honoring veterans of the armed forces and those killed in the country’s wars.
