Answer:  We would like you to present your best solution. Proposers may consider providing three different budget scenarios. What strategies would change with more or less budget?
  4. Does Sonoma County currently utilize any market segmentation services like Orange Boy or LibraryIQ?
Answer:  We use OrangeBoy for segmented email marketing to existing patrons, plus NPS and incident reporting.
  5. Would the library be receptive to a longer timeline to accommodate more in-depth community engagement?
Answer:  Possibly, depending on how much additional time is proposed.
  6. Does the Library use any market segmentation services like Buxton or Nielsen?
Answer:  We use OrangeBoy for segmented email marketing to existing patrons, plus NPS and incident reporting.
  7. Will staff or partners provide translation for public engagements? For example, personnel to translate the community survey and promotional items or for live interpretation at community meetings?
Answer:  Please include translation services in your proposal. SCL can provide a local referral for interpretation if needed.
  8. We see from the most current Census figures that the largest populations that speak English “less than well” speak Spanish or Chinese at home. Are there additional communities that would benefit from translation services that you are aware of that aren’t reflected in the data?
Answer:  None that we are aware of at this time.
  9. The RFP specifies communication plans as deliverables. Is the consultant expected to provide graphic design services as well?
Answer:  Yes, but SCL can assist.
  10. Do you have any priority populations in mind for engagement?
Answer:  We are particularly interested in getting feedback from unincorporated areas of the county, where access to library services is limited.
  11. Does SCL have access to ALA benchmark data?
Answer:  Yes. We also have access to California State Library data.
  12. What have been the most utilized/successful channels for staff communications?
Answer:  SCL uses a variety of communications methods: email, Microsoft Teams, Midweek Message (a biweekly internal newsletter), a monthly director’s column that is disseminated to elected officials, NGO leaders and the media, the MessageBee app (primarily for holds notifications), and social media.
